family reunion

I have pics from the reunion for anyone who wants copies. simply give me a call and I will make a disc for you (the cost is whatever Walmart charges to make the disc, I am not sure how much it is...I am having one made today to have on hand, I will post it on here when I find out). This winter I will be working on a book of my mother and father (completely on a personal level but if you would like to add anything to it...memories you would like to share, etc. let me know, I am positive I can find a way to include it). I will then be making a copy for my sister, brother and myself. I will bring it to the next reunion however for anyone else who would like to look. In my free time (LOL) I am trying to figure out how to make the trading cards of the family members and trying to figure out how many generations back I will be including (as of right now it is looking like 3). And since I have been approached several times for information on the next reunion, I am seeking volunteers for a committee. And yes, sadly that means working closely with me and a few other Gardners (and you know how we can be). PeeWee is getting volunteered whether she likes it or not because i just like working with her ;) and Deena too! So, if you know you would like to help out, let me know...there are several things I need to get done and oddly, the planning looks like it is under way evern though it the reunion is far down the road. The thought of having a committee is wonderful. Deena had brought the idea to my attention and I have fully embraced it! So much more can get done. I love the idea of teaching the younger generation about family history (I am sure some of you are saying, wait a minute. Dottie, PeeWee and Deena are the younger generation! Boy do I wish that was true! Now there are little tots (several too I may add) that just have no idea who their family is. When they think of an Aunt...the thought only goes as far as their parents siblings. Sad. Let them have the pleasure of getting to know all of you. When their parents mention Aunt Pearl or Aunt Jane. Let them know who you're talking about. Afterall, family is forever. Everything else tarnishes and fades. So I hope you will all become part of our plan and once the date has been set (you will get a mailing on it) then mark your calenders and attend. If you have a preference as to when you feel it should be held, let me know. I will make an effort to accomodate everyone the best I can. Here are a few photos from the last reunion. Enjoy!!
