sewing lessons

My sister-in-law has been nice enough to volunteer to teach my dd how to sew. She absolutely loves it. She was so proud today to demonstrate to me how to thread the needle and the bobbin and have me watch her sew a straight line. Now the only challenge is to get her to stop long enough to go to bed. Half way through her demo the sewing machine started running all by itself and we couldn't figure out what was going on. Here, our little dog LuLu crawled under the table and was laying on the foot pedal. Anna decided she wanted to learn how to sew too! Whenever there is trouble, LuLu is usually not far away. She will be watching a video tomorrow to teach her the parts of the sewing machine (specific to our machine).I think sewing is becoming a lost art...I am very blessed to have someone eager and willing to teach her.
